Workshops

Over the years I have led workshops focusing on the fundamentals of drawing and painting with an emphasis on working from direct observation. Most of these workshops have been one-time sessions with a specific focus geared toward the individual or group. I am currently preparing to offer specific workshops of 5 and 10-week courses.

Topics include Still-life, landscape, portraiture and nature art (wildlife, birds and plants).

I carefully structure the classes to balance guidance and independence. I provide expert tips and demonstrations, but also plenty of space for you to find your own style and passions. Whether you’re intrigued by the bold colors of oils and acrylics, the subtlety of watercolors or the immediacy of sketching, you’ll be able to deepen your knowledge and skills and hopefully discover new techniques and styles.
